The MusicNomad 6-piece Electric Guitar Diamond Coated Nut File Set feature a revolutionary diamond coating & round “string-shape” blade design resulting in smooth, precision cuts. They cut & polish slots at the same time & do not drift like common toothed files. The industrial, even diamond coating cuts & polishes all the most common nut materials such as nylon, bone, graphite & TUSQ. They even work amazing on saddles. We added an ergonomic handle for total comfort & control of your cut, or you can remove the blade from the handle as an alternative cutting option. This custom set comes with 6 Nut File sizes for Electric Guitar – Light Strings. We even include a compact, strong aluminum case. That’s MusicNomad quality – raising the bar in equipment care.

  • Note: Used properly, the MusicNomad saddle file with diamond coating will last a very long time. Originally known from industrial applications, diamond is considered one of the most durable abrasives available. Use these files only for nuts made of bone, graphite, nylon or TUSQ materials, or for saddles made from brass or zinc. The files are not suitable for cutting steel. Clean the files regularly with a brush to remove grinding debris from the gaps in the diamond coating. Should the grinding action on the front part of the file wear off, the file can be rotated in the handle to bring the less-used rear part to the front.
