Introduction

Standard model equipped with tortoiseshell-pattern pickguard (TTPG)

Based on the “BMS-1R,” it comes standard with a tortoiseshell pickguard—a classic customization choice. This harmonizes with the solid-color body, lending the entire instrument a traditional feel. Also noteworthy is the introduction of a roasted maple neck, a first for a “BMS” model.

3-way pickup selector

Features a practical 3-way toggle switch pickup selector. Enables instant switching between the “Neck, Mix, and Bridge” pickups.

Medium scale

Above:BMS-1-RSM/M-TTPG Below:BST-2-RSM/R

Features a medium scale length of 628mm, slightly shorter than the standard 648mm scale. As evident from comparing the fretboard lengths in the image, this specification has a shorter scale length (distance from nut to bridge saddle) than a typical guitar. The reduced scale length moderately lowers string tension, enabling smoother fretting and bending. This supports comfortable fingering during performance.

Roasted maple neck

■ About roasted maple

Roasted maple is wood that has been artificially aged by heating maple at high temperatures to evaporate moisture and oils within the wood. Wood that has undergone significant aging is less prone to warping and twisting. When used for necks, this process enhances not only stability but also sound, producing a rich, natural resonance and a well-rounded, vintage-like tone reminiscent of aged wood. While typically reserved for high-end models, we’ve successfully made it available at a more accessible price point.

※The degree of color change due to roasting and the grain pattern of maple wood may vary from piece to piece.
